“I was working full time as a Sales Assistant at the time but had always wanted to work in an office environment, however I didn’t have the qualifications to do so.
I first heard about Pitman Training Canterbury in a magazine advert and after attending a jobs fair I became aware of how highly recognised the Pitman Training qualifications were. I then called to book a meeting. I looked through and discussed with the courses advisor the different courses available and chose an Executive PA Diploma course.
Due to the flexible hours you can do at Pitman Training, I was able to work full time and study the diploma in the evenings. This enabled me to study at my own pace and there was support available as and when needed.
I found the course really interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed learning lots of new skills in a welcoming, comfortable and relaxed environment. Studying at Pitman Training enabled me to gain the necessary qualifications and now work as a Secretary at Reeves & Co, an Accounting and Wealth Management firm in Canterbury where I am very happy and love my job!
I support various Partners and staff by typing documents, mail merging, database amendments and reports, reception duties/switchboard, putting together power point presentations and other admin duties. I have also assisted at marketing events meeting clients in a social situation.
I would definitely recommend Pitman Training Canterbury to anyone wishing to further their skills and to gain such well recognised qualifications.
If it wasn’t for Pitman Training Canterbury I would not be where I am today!”
