Course completed: Microsoft Office Plus Diploma
Job secured: School Secretary
“I had left my current role in a bank after 21 years and was at a crossroads as to what I would like to do; life being a mad treadmill I wanted to re-skill and felt unsure of the course I should take. Shaheelan, the centre manager at Pitman Training Hendon, gave me some great ideas and helped me with a payment plan. I decided to upgrade my computer skills as I figured any job would want this skill, so embarked on a Microsoft Office Plus Diploma. My fears of studying and being out of practice were soon stamped out by my one-to-one trainer Jeeva, who not only supported me on this very flexible course but also encouraged me, giving me confidence along the way. The course was easy to understand with step-by-step instructions and exercises which I could do at my own pace. Whilst doing this, I decided I was interested in the field of education. So now it’s goodbye to long, stressful hours in the city and hello to a more enjoyable working life.”
