“My name is Anna Cahill and I completed the Legal Secretary Diploma with Pitman Training in Canterbury. I have worked in retail for the last ten years and was eager to change career, but did not have the necessary qualifications and skills employers’ .look for on a CV. I had heard good things about Pitman Training in Canterbury and from my very first visit I was very pleased with the staff, course content and general set up.
I was working full time throughout my studying and the flexible hours, centre study and distance learning courses were great to allow me to fit in my studying. I learned the Microsoft office skills as well as a great deal about the legal system, forms and general secretarial work and now feel confident about finding a career in my new field. I am ecstatic to have gained the Pitman Training legal secretarial diploma!
Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences with Pitman. Dawn the Centre Manager, is helpful and patient and always there to offer support should you be struggling with any area or nervous about an exam. The centre is well-located, open flexible hours and always a calm and quiet place to study. I particularly enjoyed being able to take advantage of some distance learning courses. I found them very easy to follow and Dawn was always there to help in the centre or just a phone call away should I encounter any difficulties. I had no secretarial or legal experience when I started my training and very basic computer skills. I now have a full, impressive CV and most importantly the confidence to finally change career and do something I have always wanted to do! I have gained all the Pitman Training certificates for each course and the Legal Secretarial diploma gaining an overall distinction, so very, very happy!”
