I was made redundant early last year. I had always thought it a possibility, but when it actually happened it was quite a shock and took some major adjustments.

Ann Cousins found that although she had 28 years of office skills, she had no certificates or awards to verify her experience and as a consequence, decided to study for the Pitman Training Accounting Technician Diploma.

With a background in A Levels education and a career in various roles within the merchant sector, Dan Morgan embarked on his educational journey with Pitman Training when his employer, Generation Hire & Sales, merged with another company, Altrad. Because of this work development, Dan wanted to acquire new skills and techniques for career advancement and personal growth.

“I got a job as Steno-typist at AG office at BPS 14-Grade right after successfully completing my Teeline Shorthand course from Pitman Training Pakistan. It had been an amazing experience learning Teeline Shorthand online and practicing at my own pace according to my temperament. Following a challenging time facing redundancy, Alison boosted her CV by studying with Pitman Manchester, gaining an incredible Distinction grade for her Administration Assistant Diploma!

Hayley utilised some additional time to update her skills as part of her accounting qualification with the team at Pitman Manchester.

It is a great success for Olivia to complete her Diploma with Distinction and here at Pitman we are very proud of her achievement.
