When James enrolled at Pitman Training Sheffield in 2024, he had a clear goal: build a future career in data analytics. “At first, it was tough,” James admits. “But I knew Excel was a critical skill if I wanted to work in data, so I put in extra time and practice to really understand it.”

That determination paid off. James passed his Excel Expert exam and continued through the remaining courses with the same focus and consistency. Despite facing challenges both at work and in his personal life, he stayed committed to his studies. During the diploma, he even made the bold decision to leave Amazon and explore new opportunities aligned with his career goals.

Just a few months after his graduation ceremony, James shared the news that made all the hard work worthwhile: he had secured a Data Analyst-related role and was already using the Excel and analytical skills he gained during his training.
