Through the Career Acceleration Programme supported by Safal MRM Foundation, Sarah Kahumbi, Agnes Malinda, Lorine Odhiambo, Jacinta Omweri and Faith Mwikali developed practical workplace skills and completed the full Administrative Assistant Diploma. Their training included typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, communication, time management and professional workplace readiness.
The five CAP scholars entered the programme from different starting points but shared a common goal: to become more confident, capable and employable. The Career Acceleration Programme combined structured learning with practical workplace skills that could be applied in administration and office support roles.
Their learning journey began with Typaz and progressed through Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. They also developed professional communication, time management and teamwork, while becoming more confident using modern collaboration tools such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
The source profile records that all five completed the full Administrative Assistant Diploma. By the end of the programme, they had moved from limited experience with some workplace tools to a stronger level of practical competence in document production, data handling, reporting, communication and office technology.
For employers, foundations and young people looking for youth employability training in Nairobi, job-readiness programmes in Kenya or practical office administration and Microsoft Office skills, the CAP scholars’ journey demonstrates the value of combining technical training with professional behaviours and confidence.
