Rowena Dalziel began her journey with Pitman Training Edinburgh, driven by a desire to expand her professional horizons. With a background in Technical Architectural Drafting and currently working as a Maintenance Services Planning Administrator, she was looking to explore new career opportunities.

“I chose Pitman because I find the location accessible,” Rowena explains. However, the training centre’s proximity to her home was just the beginning of what would become a life-changing learning experience.

After careful consideration, Rowena enrolled in the HR Essentials course. “I find HR Admin an interesting course and different from what I am currently doing,” she shares. The flexibility of the programme was a key attraction. “After work, weekend and at-home study perfectly fit my schedule,” Rowena says. “I find it great because it suits my busy work and personal life.”

Pitman Training: A Great Learning Experience

This learning experience exceeded her expectations. “I quite enjoy studying at my own pace at Pitman Training Centre,” she reflects. The personalised support was particularly valuable. “Having someone to coach you while studying at the centre is beneficial because there are times when you require help in terms of technical issues, and having someone to help right away is great!”

Rowena wanted to wrap up with sound advice, “If you think you are not progressing in your current job or it becomes stagnant, don’t hesitate to upskill. Learn new skills to boost your confidence. Never stop learning or risk becoming irrelevant.”
